ROTATIONAL TRANSITIONS IN AR-LIH COLLISIONS

摘要
A calculation is made for 1 to j (0<or=j<or=5) inelastic rotational transition cross sections in LiH-Ar collisions at 0.80 eV. The long-range potential is obtained from the atomic and molecular parameters while various short-range potentials, estimated from the results for related systems, are investigated. Comparison with the relative measurements of Wilcomb and Dagdigian (1977) shows agreement to within experimental error. The influence of anisotropic potential terms not included in the calculation is discussed.
