PERCOLATION IN ANISOTROPIC SYSTEMS AND STRUCTURE OF THE INFINITE CLUSTER

Percolation thresholds for the anisotropic system in two and three dimensions are studied using the Monte Carlo method to investigate an anisotropy of the conductivity near a percolation threshold. The anisotropy obeys the power law (p-pc)lambda with pc=0.25+or-0.1 and lambda =0.3+or-0.1 in three dimensions. There is a finite anisotropy near the percolation threshold in two dimensions. The numerical results lead us to definite conclusions about the infinite cluster structure.
