摘要
Electronic absorption and magnetic circular dichroism are reported for five bicyclic heterocycles derived from the phospholium and arsolium cations containing P‒S, P‒N, As‒S, and As‒N bonds. The spectra are analyzed in terms of the perimeter model and semiempirical calculations and are perfectly compatible with a delocalized aromatic π-electron system with pπ-bonding over the heterocyclic moiety. © 1990, American Chemical Society.
