摘要
Tetrasulfonated derivatives of pyrogallol or resorcinol cyclic tetramer form a 1:1 complex in water with not only aromatic but also relatively hydrophobic aliphatic amino acids. The stability of the complex depends on both the hydrophobicity of the guest and the pi-basicity of the host.
