摘要
Stereochemistry of the triose phosphate isomerase reaction in the halophilic archaebacteria Halobacterium was determined for the first time by virtue of the biosynthesis of the core membrane lipid. sn-2,3-di-O-phytanyl glycerol. Feeding experiments with D-[4-H-2]- and D-[5-H-2]glucose,followed by 500 MHz H-1-NMR comparison of the resulting membrane lipids with the chemically synthesized deuterated standards appeared to show that the 3R hydrogen of dihydroxyacetone-phosphate is exchangeable with a medium.
