The Green function formalism for the description of ttBAR production in e+ e- annihilation close to threshold is extended from the calculation of the total cross section to the prediction of momentum distributions of top quarks. The Lippmann-Schwinger equation is solved numerically in momentum space for the two loop QCD potential. The spectra of W bosons from top quark decays are calculated and found to be strongly affected by the QCD potential and the large width of the top quark. If one aims towards a kinematic determination of the top quark mass and of the tbW coupling in the threshold region these effects must be taken into consideration.
