摘要：

Myocarditis is reported in 6 autopsies on patients who died with T. rhodesiense infection. From the histopathological findings, it is evident that during trypanosomal infection the human heart may also seriously be involved. Caution is therefore indicated during treatment to avoid any further stress on the myocardium. Finally, the analogy with the histopathological findings in Chagas's disease is discussed. © 1969 Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
