摘要
An example of the mapping of IRAS Calibrated Reconstructed Detector Data using a maximum entropy method is presented. The triple source W49A was chosen because of the availability of previous far-infrared data for comparison. The method is shown to enhance considerably the resolution of images made from IRAS data, and to reproduce morphology consistent with previous KAO data, as well as consistent flux densities for W49N, the only source for which previous detailed photometry exists. As a result of the enhanced resolution of the IRAS data it is possible to make a detailed comparison with our previous submillimetre data, and the emission is modelled by a three-component dust temperature distribution, consistent with other work. The location of the dust components is discussed.
