摘要
X-ray diffraction and kinetic measurements show that the rate of oxidation of magnetite crystals smaller than about 0.2 to γ-Fe2O3 is controlled by the diffusion of iron cations. A model of the mechanism is successful in describing the kinetics of the process. © 1968 Nature Publishing Group.
