摘要
The modal-coupling behaviour of a microphone-amplifier-loudspeaker regenerative system in an auditorium at low frequencies is considered when the bandwidth of the system is severely limited to a few cycles by a Helmholtz resonator encasing the microphone. Restricted in this way the coupling process is more easily interpreted and it is possible to investigate how the system will principally regenerate a small number of modes, which change when the loudspeaker is moved in space. The system can plot" the spatial fluctuation in the antinodal surface of a small group of modes. Effects of changes in temperature and absorption are also investigated. The extent of spatial reverberation control at the principal regeneration frequency is described and compared with the natural variation in pure tone reverberation time. © 1969."
