In the spring of 1988 a field survey was initiated to determine the levels of organic halogen compounds in wastewaters from bleached kraft mills (BKM) in Ontario. The survey results provide data previously unavailable to regulatory agencies and will assist in establishing maximum leveis of Adsorbable Organic Halogen (AOX) in wastewaters for this industrial sector. © 1990.
