摘要
Equations are presented for calculating the flooding point, the liquid hold-up in the dispersed phase, and the mass transfer for 25 mm and 50 mm tube columns packed with arranged metal Bialecki rings. In deriving the equations, allowance was made for the resistance in the continuous phase. Their validity was confirmed in studies on systems with widely differing properties. Higbie's theory of non-stationary diffusion for brief contact periods yields a sufficiently accurate description of mass transfer with resistance in both the dispersed and the continuous phases. The cumulative resistance to mass transfer can be satisfactorily determined by adding the individual components.
