摘要
A neutron diffraction study has been made of thc crystallographic orientation relations across the B1 --> B2 transition in RbCl taking place at approximately 5 kbar. Relations [1 1 1]B1 parallel-to [0 0 1]B2 and [1 1 2]B1 parallel-to [1 1 0]B2 have been observed. A mechanism picturing deformation and shearing of atomic planes is derived for the transition.
