摘要
This paper presents a technique for performing inexact reasoning, where extended fuzzy production rules are used for knowledge representation. An extended fuzzy production rule is a rule that describes a fuzzy relation between two conditions. The certainty factor (CF) and the truth values of the conditions of an extended fuzzy production rule are defined as a continuous range of values. An efficient algorithm is also presented for performing inexact reasoning automatically, where given the truth values of some conditions, the algorithm can perform inexact reasoning to evaluate the truth values of other conditions.
