摘要
The requirements for truth and trueness in inorganic bulk and trace analysis are discussed. Optimum conditions for the generation of true values by a defined number of atoms/molecules of the analyte are presented. Trueness of analytical values is established by traceability as defined by ISO Guide 25 to true values based on SI units. Consequences for the validation of methods, analysis of batches and the continuous analysis for production control are given and the role of statistics is discussed.
