摘要
The Oxford Scanning Proton microprobe has been used for the determination of major and trace element concentrations at the single particle level in fly ashes collected at the inlet and outlet of the electrostatic precipitators of a coal-fired power plant. The analytical results provide valuable information about the particle formation mechanisms upon combustion, the fly ash collection process within electrostatic precipitators and the environmental impact associated with the emission of particulate matter.
