摘要
Oxygen-derived free radicals have been implicated as important factors involved in the genesis of reperfusion injury. There is increasing evidence that a free radical scavenger, superoxide dismutase (SOD), limits reperfusion injury in animal experiments.1,2 We administered human recombinant SOD to patients with anterior wall acute myocardial infarction (AMI) at the time of thrombolysis and investigated (1) if SOD can reduce reperfusion arrhythmias, and (2) if SOD has beneficial effects on left ventricular function in the chronic phase. © 1991.
