摘要
A simple procedure for the preparation of submicron spherical particles of metal oxides by hydrolysis of liquid aerosols is reported. The procedure was applied to prepare several oxides of ceramic interest such as TiO2, Al2O3, SiO2 and ZrO2. In the case of TiO2, a systematic study of the effects of the experimental conditions on the characteristics of the resulting particles was carried out. The powders as prepared were amorphous or poorly crystallized. The thermal evolution of the solids was studied by differential thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy and electron microscopy.
