摘要
The surface nitrogen chemistry of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) based carbon fibres has been studied using high binding energy resolution X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Nitrogen ls peak chemical shift data are reported for three types of fibre each in unoxidised and oxidised forms. Tentative assignments of binding energies to nitrogen functional groups is made.
