摘要：

A new binary Zr-Pd phase with Zr3Pd4 stoichiometry was found. The structure of the phase was investigated by transmission electron microscopy and powder neutron diffraction. The structure belongs to the Pu3Pd4 structure type, which has a rhombohedral R3BAR space group with 42 atoms in a hexagonal cell. Modifications of the Zr-Pd phase diagram which accommodate the new phase are suggested.
