Effects of partial substitution on the local minimum of T(c) near x = 0.125 and on the resistance anomaly relating to the low-temperature structural phase transition have been investigated in La2-xBaxCuO4. The local minimum shifts to x = 0.145 in La1.98-xCe0.02BaxCuO4. The range of x, where the resistance anomaly appears, shifts to that of larger x values, too. These suggest that the structural phase transition is due to the optimum hole concentration of 0.125 per Cu atom rather than the Ba content x = 0.125. Experiments for La1.98-xK0.02BaxCuO4 are also described.
