Feeding experiments have eliminated two obvious possible routes of cantharidin biosynthesis: the tail‐to‐tail condensation of two isoprene units and the head‐to‐tail condensation of two isoprene units followed by a methyl shift. Copyright © 1969 Wiley‐Liss, Inc., A Wiley Company
