MAGNETIC-MOMENT OF WEAK BOSONS PRODUCED IN PP AND PBAR COLLISIONS

摘要
We suggest that the reactions ppWX and pp»W±X are good candidates for measuring the magnetic moment parameter in W=(e2MW)(1). The angular distribution of the W bosons in pp»W±X is particularly sensitive to this parameter. For the gauge-theory value of 1, we have found a peculiar zero in d(du»W)d cos at cos=-13, the location of this zero depending on the quark charge through cos=-(1+2Qd). A similar zero occurs in d(ud»W)d cos. We can offer no explanation for this behavior. © 1983 The American Physical Society.
