摘要
Current/potential characteristics of poly(2,2'-bithiophene)/poly(xylylviologen) (PBT/PXV) bilayers have been investigated. The variation of peak position with scan rate and the current/potential relationship for the "untrapping" of reduced viologen sites in the outer film have been analysed. The limiting flux during this bilayer switching operation is similar to that determined from PBT single film charge transport data. The kinetics of the polymer interfacial reaction would be expected to be associated with a much larger limiting flux. We conclude that inner film transport is rate limiting.
