摘要
Water can be used as a passive shutter for Q-switched erbium lasers. The switching mechanism of water under irradiation of 2.79 and 2.94 μm erbium laser light has been studied. It can be explained with a model based on evaporation. Time constants have been measured with a CW HeNe laser at 3.391 μm. © 1990 IEEE
