摘要
Four kinds of stillage derived from ethanol fermentation of sweet potato, barley, rice and buckwheat were converted directly into oil by a thermochemical method for the recovery of energy in the form of liquid fuel. The stillage, with approximately 80 wt% moisture content, was heated under pressurized nitrogen over a temperature range of 250-340-degrees-C in the presence of sodium carbonate as a catalyst. The oil yield strongly depended on the kind of stillage, catalyst loading and reaction temperature. The maximum oil yields for sweet potato, barley, rice and buckwheat were roughly 30, 40, 50 and 60 wt%, respectively, on an organic basis under optimum operating conditions. The oil had a calorific value of 33-37 MJ kg-1 and a viscosity of 300-2000 mPa s.
