VIBRATIONAL SPECTRA AND ASSIGNMENTS OF TETRAIODOETHYLENE

摘要
The infrared, far infrared and Raman spectra of tetraiodoethylene are given with assignments of all the active fundamental vibrations and observed combination and overtone bands. A tentative assignment of the torsion mode is made based on the assignment of observed combination bands. The fundamental frequencies are assigned as Ag: 1490, 184, 110; Au: 53; B1g: 775, 149; B1u: 226; B2g: 422; B2u: 639, 95; B3u: 525, 131, all in cm-1. An observed enchancement of B1g intensities in the Raman spectrum is ascribed to vibronio interactions. © 1969.
