COORDINATION COMPLEXES OF GROUP (4) HALIDE - PREPARATION AND INFRARED SPECTRA OF COMPLEXES OF GROUP (4) HALIDES WITH PHTHALIMIDE PHTHALAMIDE 1,2-CYCLOHEXAPHTHALIMIDE AND SUCCINIMIDE AS LIGANDS

Coordination compounds between phthalimide, phthalamide, 1,2-cyclohexaphthalimide and succinimide as ligands and group (IV) halides, MX4 (where M = Ti, Sn and X = Cl, Br) as Lewis acids have been prepared and characterised. The compounds have been examined spectrometrically in the i.r. region 4000-200 cm-1 to establish the possible coordination sites. Assignments have been made for the metal-halogen and metal-oxygen stretching vibrations. © 1969.
