摘要
A new composite material consisting of poly(3-methylthiophene) loaded with electrogenerated Prussian Blue has been prepared and characterized. In this material, poly(3-methylthiophene) plays the role of an electrode with high surface area for the plating of Prussian Blue, and for its subsequent electrochemical addressing. The new composite material is very stable in CH3CN electrolytes, and it can be cycled repetitively between pale-red (reduced) and deep-blue (oxidized) states. This redox process is charge-transfer controlled as expected from our recent findings on the electrochemistry of Prussian Blue in certain non-aqueous electrolytes including CH3CN.
