摘要
To avoid the risk of bolting in kohlrabi production with minimum energy requirements vernalization and devernalization effects have to be quantified. These effects were tested in growth chambers. Temperatures below 11-degrees-C support tuber modification (vernalization) while temperatures above 11-degrees-C inhibit it (devernalization). Further experiments were conducted in order to evaluate short-term effects of higher temperatures. Devernalization was increased with temperature and duration of the treatment. Within the temperature range tested (2-22-degrees-C) a diagram of hourly temperature effects on the beginning of bolting (tuber modification ) of kohlrabi was developed.
