摘要
The ultra-violet, visible and infra-red spectrum of chloranilic acid has been determined. In mixtures of chloranilic acid and amino acids it is shown that 1:1 complexes are formed in solution and 1:2 complexes in the solid state. A study of the infrared spectra of amino acids, their hydrochlorides and their complexes with chloranilic acid show that hydrogen bonded ionic species are formed. Data is given of equilibrium constants and enthalpies of dissociation of the complexes in solution. © 1969.
