K-BAND MIXING AND 8P-8H STATES IN 40CA

摘要
K-band mixing and higher order deformed states are introduced into an earlier multiparticle-multihole model of 40Ca. The inclusion of these states enables the model to explain certain experimental data which the simplified model could not explain. In particular, K = 2 4p-4h states are needed to account for the decay of the 5.24 MeV, 2+ state. The 5.20 MeV 0+ state is interpreted as the first member of an 8p-8h deformed rotational band. © 1969.
