Perturbed stationary states treatment of vibrational excitation in collinear collisions

摘要
The Perturbed Stationary States treatment of inelastic collisions is used in a procedure where the stationary states involved are expanded on the undisturbed states using perturbation technique of high order. Numerical results for transition probabilities of collinear collisions between a diatomic molecule and an atom are reported for the proper first order form. The results are in good agreement with the exact results of Secrest and Johnson.
