THYMIDINE-5'-TRIPHOSPHATE INCORPORATION INTO DNA BY RAT THYMUS NUCLEI

摘要
It has been possible to isolate rat thymus nuclei that retain the capacity to incorporate thymidine-5′-triphosphate into DNA bound to the nucleus. The reaction is stimulated by the presence of the other three deoxynucleoside-5′-triphosphates, Mg2+ and an excess of ATP. Both denatured and native DNA, when added to the nuclei, serve as effective templates. In those preparations with least contamination with intact cells, thymidine-5′-triphosphate is incorporated at a more rapid rate than thymidine. © 1969.
