摘要
Type 304 (UNS(1) S30400) stainless steel (SS) specimens with different microstructural characteristics are used to study the influence of heat treatment on microbiologically induced corrosion. The effects of chloride and inorganic and biogenic sulfide are analyzed. Sensitized metal probes were affected by the presence of aggressive anions and pitting potential values were more cathodic than those in the as-received state. Corrosion is enhanced by the synergistic action of biogenic sulfides and chloride anions.
