摘要
Solid state H-1, H-2 and Nb-96 NMR methods have provided a probe of guest-host bonding and of the electric and magnetic environment of these nuclei in layered intercalation compounds of the type Kx(H2O)y[NbS2]. Structural changes have been studied as a function of the degree of intercalation x. Niobium nuclei have been used to detect environmental effects caused by the intercalant. Properties of the host lattice have been investigated by nuclear probes of the guest molecules. Three intercalation structures have been observed as a function of x, which were attributed to local staging. Electronic properties of the host have been found to be closely related to the chemical shift anisotropy of guest nuclei.
