摘要
Since the adsorption of surfactants on TiO2 catalyst surface is one of the key factors affecting the photodegradation rate, the zeta-potentials of TiO2 particles in aqueous surfactant dispersions have been determined before and after illumination. The pH dependence of the zeta-potential was also examined. The zeta-potential of TiO2 particles shifted to the more positive value upon irradiation. Models of surfactant adsorption on the TiO2 surface are proposed. The anionic DBS (sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate) was more easily adsorbed on the irradiated TiO2 surface and was degraded faster than the cationic BDDAC (benzyldodecyldimethylammonium chloride) surfactant.
