摘要
During the potentiostatic polymerization of aniline, the periods of nucleation, growth of nuclei and stationary growth can be distinguished. The rate determining step is an oxidation reaction with a transfer coefficient-alpha = 0.2 to 0.5 and E(a) = 57 kJ/mol. Evidence for branching and termination reactions is obtained using derivatives of aniline. Decomposition reactions (overoxidation) are proved in absence of the monomer.
