摘要：

Preliminary investigations indicated that it might be advantageous to eliminate the surphus seedling in a braird by using a contact herbicide as the thinning medium. A technique involving the use of reciprocating dribble bars to apply a viscous solution of herbicide was developed and evaluated as an alternative to conventional mechanical thinning and hand sin gling. A photographic procedure was used to calculate the effect of a standard dribble bar on seedlings of different sizes. © 1969.
