摘要
The behaviour of the anisotropic cylinder of finite length subjected to axisymmetric loads and deformations is investigated. Governing displacement-equilibrium equations for a cylindrically anisotropic medium are formulated and finite-difference methods are employed to obtain solutions. Solutions are developed for the orthotropic cylinder subjected to axial displacement with various degrees of radial constraint at the cylinder extremities. The obtained solutions are compared to predictions from Flügge shell theory and the existence of a singularity in the stress field is postulated. © 1979.
