摘要：

When the interplanetary parameter ε(= VB2 sin4 ( θ 2)l02) exceeds the amount that can be dissipated by the ionosphere in terms of the Joule heat production, the excess energy is absorbed by the ring current belt, resulting in abnormal growth of the Dst index. © 1979.
