MULTISAMPLE ROTATING-DISK MODULE FOR SPECTROMETRIC ANALYTICAL METHODS

摘要
A new type of multisample rotating-disc module and discs with unique sector-shaped cuvettes for maximum collection of photon information during spectrophotometrlc measurements are shown to be highly precise. The system utilizes a charge-counting measurement system, a microcomputer as data acquisition, processing, presentation, and control system, and commercial light source, photomultiplier, and monochromator modules. It offers many advantages over conventional spectrophotometric systems with the stationary rectangular cuvettes. Up to ten 200-μL samples and/or standards may be measured simultaneously with a precision of 0.0001 absorbance unit. For the operator's convenience, data may be presented directly in concentration of each sample following application of a least-square curve-fitting program on data obtained from standard solutions. © 1979, American Chemical Society.
