摘要
The surface topography of the cochlear sensory epithelium was observed, stereoscopically, by the scanning electron microscope with a magnification up to 20,000 X. Our initial observation indicates that there are firm adherence points in the form of trabeculae between the tectorial membrane and the organ of Corti in the region of Hensen's stripe near the inner side of the border cells. The stereocilia of the cochlear sensory hair cells were arranged in three rows forming a “V”, graduated in length from the inner to the outer row in a step-like arrangement. © 1969, SAGE Publications.
