摘要
A method is described for studying the in vitro release of dexamethasone and some of its esters from gelled isopropyl myristate, petrolatum USP, and two other nonaqueous vehicles. The effect of steroid solubility in the major component of each vehicle is discussed. In vivo penetration of dexamethasone‐14C through stripped human skin showed good correlation with in vitro studies. No difference in the vehicles was observed with intact skin.
