ANALYTIC CALCULATION OF CATION DISTRIBUTIONS IN FERRITE SPINEL MN1-GAMMA-FE2+GAMMA-O4

摘要
The cation distribution in a quasi-binary ferrite spinel between Mn//3O//4 and Fe//3O//4 has been calculated analytically for the first time in closed form as a function of thermodynamic parameters by combining thermoelectric power data with defect chemistry. The result has been applied to a ferrite Mn//0//. //8//7//3Fe//2//. //1//3//7O//4. The analytically calculated c distribution is in excellent agreement with results derived from a computer-iterative technique applied to a strictly defect chemical approach.
