The temperature dependence of YBa2Cu3O7-x resistivity observed in the N2 atmosphere at high temperatures reveals a slow evolution from the orthorhombic phase to the tetragonal phase. Once the N2 atmosphere is changed for the O2 one, an opposite rapid transition is also observed. The mechanism and the relevant factors of the phase transition at high temperatures are discussed. © 1990.
