摘要
Two distinct components were identified in the EPQ lie scale, based on the responses of 172 students in an Australian university. Component A correlated negatively with extraversion, a finding consistent with the theory that this component functions as an index of socially conforming behaviour and that introverts condition more readily into social confirmity. Component B was unrelated to extraversion, a finding consistent with the theory that this component produces a purer index of lying or of faking good, less contaminated by social confirmity. © 1991.
