CONSISTENCY CONDITION FOR CROSSING SYMMETRIC REGGE BEHAVED AMPLITUDES

We derive a necessary condition for crossing symmetric Regge behaved amplitudes with one linearly rising trajectory. The condition is a set of linear equations correlating the residues at different poles. In a particular case the condition implies a unique amplitude, which for certain external masses reduces to the models proposed by Veneziano and Virasoro. © 1969.
