摘要
1. 1. Radioactivity from C-1 and C-6 labelled glucose recovered as C14O2 was about three times higher for queen larvae then for worker larvae. 2. 2. The qualitative assessment of the C-6/C-1 ratio was similar for both castes, being never above 0·19 and indicates the importance of the pentose pathway. 3. 3. There was greater incorporation of carbon 6 than carbon 1 into lipid and haemolymph protein in both castes. 4. 4. Incorporation was greatest in queen larvae. 5. 5. There was a reciprocal relationship between the labelling of CO2 and lipids. © 1969.
