摘要
The spectra and relative intensities of the excimer and monomer emission of frozen solutions of pyrene are investigated as a function of concentration, solvent, temperature and excitation wavelength. A strong dependence of the emission on these parameters is observed. At high concentrations it is probable that stable dimers are formed. The results are discussed with emphasis on the effect of excitation wavelength on the efficiency of excimer formation and stabilization. © 1969.
